The Drone Privacy Guidelines has been released today in an effort to continue the understanding of privacy expectations when flying a drone.

When flying drones, it is important to respect privacy and we want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to understand safe and considerate drone use that is in line with community expectations.

The Drone Privacy Guidelines consider relevant legislation to provide the community and businesses with a set of easy to follow principles, enabling them to operate drones in line with privacy expectations. Importantly, the guidelines don’t impose additional restrictions, but instead bring attention to the interaction between drone operations and privacy legislation.

You can view the new guidelines here, other privacy related legislation is also featured on the page.
