A new online tool called SORA-Mate has taken flight to help make it easier for you to complete a Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) for complex drone operations, including flying beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS).

The tool offers a standardised and easy-to-use process for you to undertake risk analysis, mitigation strategies and report generation in line with international guidelines. It means you can fly knowing you are meeting all regulatory and safety requirements.

Designed for Australia’s requirements, SORA-Mate will help you to more easily conduct safe and compliant flights in controlled airspace and will reduce approval timeframes.

SORA-Mate was funded under Round One of the Emerging Aviation Technology Partnerships (EATP) Program and was developed in partnership by Hover UAV and ANRA Technologies.

The EATP Program supports strategic partnerships with industry using emerging aviation technology to address community needs, particularly in regional Australia.

Hover UAV is hosting an online webinar on 26 September 2024 which will step through how to use SORA-Mate. You can register to attend here.
