The Australian Government recognises the need to support innovation in the drone and advanced air mobility space. To help you explore potential funding opportunities, the department has compiled a list of government industry support programs that may be relevant to you.

Business grants and programs finder

The Business.gov.au/grants-and-programs website will help people doing business in Australia, it has a guided search tool to help find grants, funding and support programs from across government.

Opportunities

Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA)	ASCA work to create opportunities for Australian industry to partner with Defence to explore emerging and disruptive technologies, discover new innovations and address priority capability needs.
Agrifutures	AgriFutures Australia RD&E Investment provides funding for organisations to help conduct research that will improve the sustainability and profitability of new and established rural industries.
Australian Renewable Energy Agency Innovation Fund (ARENA)	Supports emerging Australian technologies that can accelerate Australia’s transition to a renewable energy economy.
Business Research and Innovation Initiative (BRII)	The Department of Industry, Science and Resources intends to build innovative capacity of start-ups through feasibility grants and proof-of-concept grants.
Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC)	The CEFC invests in businesses and technology that support Australia’s progress to a net zero future.
Farm Investment Loans	Provides farm businesses with loans to help build and maintain a strong, resilient and profitable business.
Industry Growth Program	The Industry Growth Program provides advice, and potential financial support with grants from $50,000 and above for value-adding manufacturing in transport and low or no emission technologies.
Innovate to Grow	Innovate to Grow is a free 10-week program for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) who want to progress their research and development opportunities, or are in the early decision-making stages about engaging in research and development.
iMOVE	Works with partners to deliver high impact R&D collaborations that improve transport systems nationally. The iMOVE Cooperative Research Centre is funded by the federal government and has helped successful projects in the drone space.
Landing Pads	Landing Pads provide start-ups with a workspace for up to 90 days in a global innovation hub, along with access to coaching, investors, customers, training and networking events.
National Reconstruction Fund (NRF)	The NRF can provide finance in the form of debt and equity, and supports Australian projects that drive high-value industry transformation.
ON Innovation Program (CSIRO)	The ON Program accelerates Australia’s most promising research breakthroughs from mind to market, helping deliver training and support for big ideas.
Research and Development Tax Incentive	The Research and Development Tax Incentive helps companies innovate and grow by offsetting some of the costs of eligible research and development.
