Drones.gov.au provides a central location directing visitors to information on drone use. Such information spans drone related policy, rules and regulations, as well as specific resources on various linked sites, including the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and state and territory sites.

Initially, the site will provide information to industry, recreational users and members of the public interested or concerned about drone policies, regulation, and complaints processes.

As the site evolves, it will serve as a coordinated portal of information regarding regulatory processes, procedures, government support programs and other relevant information to support operational and investment decisions by industry. The department will also work with industry and other government agencies to develop options to improve the availability of data required for operational risk assessments.
